Step-by-step instructions for adding new products to each collection with the correct options, tags, and taxonomy.

Five pillars and their sub-collections are already normalized into one reference table.

Non-Negotiable Rule 5 Option Names

Anything outside the canonical option set risks broken filters, messy variants, or draft flags.

Color, Size, Style, Quantity, and Plug are the only allowed option names.

1Before You Start — Mandatory Checklist

Every product MUST follow these rules or it will be auto-flagged by the normalizer script and set to DRAFT.

📋Pre-Flight Checklist

Product has clear, high-res images (min 1200×1200px, white or lifestyle background)
Product title is clean, descriptive, Title Case — no ALL CAPS, no SKU codes
Product description is written in brand voice (editorial, wellness-focused)
Product type is set correctly (see Collection Tables below)
Product vendor is set to JoyCart
Product uses ONLY the 5 allowed option names (next section)
Option values are clean, human-readable — no SKU codes, no Chinese characters
Product is assigned to the correct collection(s)

2Product Options — Only These 5 Are Allowed

NEVER create options named color, style, size (lowercase), format, Power, source, quantity, or anything else. Only the 5 canonical names below.

Use for any color/shade variant. Value must be a recognizable color name.

4Adding a New Product — Step by Step

🛒In Shopify Admin

Go to Products → Add product
Enter Title in Title Case (e.g., "Premium Anti-Slip Yoga Mat - Natural Rubber 5mm")
Write the Description using brand voice. Include benefits, materials, dimensions.
Upload Images — first image is the hero, add 3–6 lifestyle/detail shots. Min 1200×1200px.
Set Price and Compare at price (for sale items)
Set Product type — match the sub-collection (e.g., Yoga Mat)
Set Vendor → JoyCart
Add Tags: the pillar tag (body, mind, life, earth, wealth) and sub-collection handle
Add Options — ONLY from the 5 allowed names. Check the collection table above for which options apply.
For each option, enter clean values only from the approved lists in Section 2.
Set SKU and Inventory for each variant
Set Product status → Active
Assign to the correct Collection(s) in the sidebar
Click Save ✓
